We’re starting planning for the upcoming Sea Otters season and wanted to share a few quick updates.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

Sea Otters is a volunteer-run organization, and we’re looking to fill a few key roles:

Volunteer Director: Coordinates meet and event volunteers and tracks family commitments, alongside the volunteer coordinator. For more info contact Edie Fischer, Dina Mansuy, Michele Clark or Nina De Simone.

Spirit Lead / Events: Works alongside the Activities Director to help plan team spirit activities and social events. For more info contact Emily Becker.

UPDATED SEA OTTERS BYLAWS
The Board recently approved updated bylaws to modernize governance and better support our team. Highlights include:

A right-sized Board for clearer decision-making

Clearer distinction between governance and day-to-day operations

Simplified elections and quorum requirements

Clearer, more concise consistent language aligned with nonprofit best practices

These updates help ensure long-term stability and success for our swimmers and families. The revised 2025 bylaws are attached.
